* TORNADO WATCH FOR POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY AND SURROUNDING AREAS<br>

* EFFECTIVE THIS FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 155 PM UNTIL<br>
1000 PM CDT.<br>

* PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...<br>
A FEW TORNADOES LIKELY<br>
SCATTERED LARGE HAIL LIKELY WITH ISOLATED VERY LARGE HAIL EVENTS<br>
TO 2.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE<br>
ISOLATED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH POSSIBLE<br>

SUMMARY...STORMS ARE INTENSIFYING IN SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA...AND<br>
ADDITIONAL STORM DEVELOPMENT IS POSSIBLE A LITTLE FARTHER EAST THIS<br>
AFTERNOON. THE STORMS WILL LIKELY SPREAD EASTWARD AND NORTHEASTWARD<br>
TOWARD CENTRAL OKLAHOMA THROUGH THE AFTERNOON...WHILE OTHER STORMS<br>
MOVE INTO SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA FROM NORTH TEXAS. <br>
THE STORM ENVIRONMENT IS SUPPORTIVE OF THE RISK FOR A FEW TORNADOES<br>
AND ISOLATED VERY LARGE HAIL...IN ADDITION TO A FEW DAMAGING GUSTS.<br>

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 55 STATUTE<br>
MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 5 MILES NORTH OF ALTUS<br>
OKLAHOMA TO 30 MILES SOUTH SOUTHEAST OF MCALESTER OKLAHOMA. <br>

REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR<br>
TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH<br>
