Shawnee Fire Department to Host Car Seat Safety Check

The Shawnee Fire Department, will host a child car seat safety check event at Fire Station #3, located at 306 E. MacArthur St., on Saturday, July 23rd from 9am to 12pm. This event is being held in partnership with Crossroads Headstart of Shawnee, Oklahoma Safe Kids Coalition and Smart Start of Oklahoma. Those who attend will be able to have their child car seats checked for proper installation by certified technicians from the Shawnee Fire Department and other agencies. We invite all those who are interested to come by Station 3 on July 23rd to get their child safety seat(s) checked.

Fireworks All Around Shawnee This Weekend!

Shawnee partnered with SEFF on 6/18/16 during Trail Days for this years fireworks but there are numerous other displays in our community as shown below:

o Kickapoo Casino in Harrah is having a fireworks celebration on July 2nd that will begin at 10PM

o FireLake Casino on Hardesty Road will have a celebration starting at 9PM on July 2nd

o Kickapoo Casino in Shawnee will have its celebration July 3rd starting at 10PM

o On July 4th the FireLake Grand Casino will begin its celebration of fireworks at 10PM
