The City of Shawnee will host a Public Meeting on Monday, October 5 at 5:30 PM in the City Commission Chambers to discuss imaging and branding for the community. Visit Shawnee, Inc. has contracted with the company Arnett Muldrow & Associates to lead this process. The South Carolina firm specializes in city planning, community branding, economic development and historic preservation and has worked in other Oklahoma communities. <br>

Arnett Muldrow & Associates will guide the hour-long discussion and will ask several questions of the audience to gauge their perception of Shawnee, its assets and how it should be marketed and promoted to build local pride, enhance local business, encourage visitors and attract investment. "The meeting is designed to be fun and engaging and will greatly inform our efforts as the process unfolds," said Tripp Muldrow, Principal at the firm.<br>

The consultant team will be in Shawnee for three days to meet with key stakeholders and touring the community. At the conclusion of their visit, they will formally present a brand for consideration. Through feedback and further refinement, Arnett Muldrow & Associates will prepare final logos, taglines, wayfinding concepts, webpage design concepts, a style guide, and an implementation plan.<br>

"We are really looking forward to this process, which will allow us to review where we are now and where we need and want to be in terms of the City's perception, brand and image," said City Manager, Justin Erickson. "I thank Visit Shawnee, Inc. for leading this effort and highly encourage interested members of the public to participate on October 5."<br>
