Shawnee Survey Opened to All Residents

The City of Shawnee is asking all residents to participate in The National Citizen SurveyT (The NCST). The survey is designed to provide a baseline of how the city government is serving residents, to gauge perceptions of the city and to make comparisons with peer cities.

The survey process started in November with a random and scientific sample of 2,200 households. Selected households received invitations to participate in the mail. Citizens that received a survey in the mail should return those in the provided envelope at their earliest convenience.

In an effort to ensure broad participation, the survey process has now been extended to all residents. City Manager, Justin Erickson highlighted this extension noting that, "citizens who did not receive a survey in the mail, now have an opportunity to have their voice heard and provide valuable feedback to elected and appointed officials." Like the mailed survey, all responses are completely anonymous. The survey will remain open until January 11.
