The free trees are provided by the Apache Foundation which had to cut the tree program back by 90% this year so there was not enough funding to provide the amount of trees needed. <br>

The City of Shawnee requested 310 trees but are only receiving 100. The tree size will be 1" to 2" caliper which are easily hauled in the back of a pickup. Each vehicle will receive no more than 3 trees and. <br>

There is no criteria to qualify for the trees. We requested Oaks, Maples, Chinese Pistache, and Red Buds but will not know what we will get until they are delivered.<br>
