Downtown Facade Grant Applications Now Available!

The City of Shawnee in partnership with the Shawnee Industrial Authority (SIA) is proud to announce the opening of the fourth grant cycle for the Downtown Façade Grant program. Grant applications are due October 20, 2014 by 4:00 PM. <br>

The Façade Grant Program is intended to encourage positive, high-impact improvements to historically significant buildings within historic Downtown Shawnee. The goal is to promote joint public/private investment, encourage business development and support appropriate revitalization to as many private properties as possible. The grants provide up to $2,500 in matching funds to be used on the front (street facing) façade of a building. <br>

To qualify, properties must be zoned C-4 and fall within the designated area, which is generally described as: <br>
<br>
South of Highland Street <br>
North of Seventh Street <br>
East of Beard Street <br>
West of Philadelphia Street <br>
Main Street from Kickapoo Street to Harrison Street <br>
